Not Your Everyday Chef- That's Me!
A very passionate person that has found her place! With a career of 15 years in hospitality, I followed my love for food all over the world, yet none of the roles satisfied my want and need to feel a part of the community. With some inspiration from the NDIS, I quickly found there were a lot of people that have always wanted to learn how to cook(or be cooked for). Over the last two years I have been developing a program to introduce commercial cookery to the disability community. In this time I have found there is so much room for skill development training in the kitchen. How to feel confident and how not to care when it doesn't work. How to not feel so much pressure about making food. My aim is to Mentor clients of all ages, the program is built around self-determination. Preparing and enjoying food is a time-honoured way of bringing people together. Whether it’s planning a menu that each family member will enjoy and cherish or dishing up dinner for neighbours, the program encourages participants to engage with their family, friends and community through the art of food.

I am Cas!!!
I love going on adventures and all things outdoors. I want to share this passion with you. Being in nature, whether it be for a gentle bush walk or pushing past your comfort zone in a more intense activity, can create a more positive attitude. Nature connectedness reduces stress and anxiety and offers many benefits to our mental wellbeing. I can help you identify and work towards goals that build your capacity, independence and autonomy. I often find myself planning adventures such as hikes, rock climbing, camping, foraging, roller skating, paddle boarding, picnics, exploring the local area as well as trips away.
I hold a cert 4 in disability support, a diploma of mental health and have psychosocial recovery coach training. I have been working independently for the last 2 years with a wide range of people. I am very calm and speak in a friendly manner. Having 2 boys with autism, now in their teens, I am well versed on all the ways that life can be challenging. With this experience I know that I am very capable of finding that little spark in most people. The spark that creates new pathways of thinking and enables the participant to engage with me and express themselves. So here I am. Ready to inspire access to recreational activities as well as offer a hand in Social Assistance.
Lets get up, get out - be active in the local community.

Rhiannon
I am Rhiannon, a 37 year old country Victorian woman, with skills in various departments of life. I have always been a deeply caring person toward friends and family. As I got older this deep connection to people spread throughout my life. In my days living in the CBD, I would regularly find myself talking to individuals on the street for hours, just because. Maybe I needed to hear it, or maybe they needed to be heard. Anyway, here's a bit more about me, I am a really adaptable person that spends a lot of time with different types of people from all walks of life. Coming from the country I have always been an animal lover, it isn't uncommon for me to rescue injured animals whenever I come across them. I am someone who likes to take advantage of where I live, and have found that there is always activities or different things to be enjoyed wherever I go. I am Big on nature and enjoy 99% of outdoor activities. I became a volunteer firefighter in 2017, and I'm very passionate about my role in the CFA and the ongoing opportunities and experiences that it provides me with.

I was a swimming instructor years ago, I'm still a very competent swimmer and enjoy the water very much. I love music, Arts, Reading books, nature and my dog, Iggy, amongst many other things. I grew up allowed to make my own choices and was always given the opportunity for my voice to be heard. I strongly believe everyone deserves to feel that way, that's why I am here. To lend a hand, an ear and even a dog - if you're nice!

I am Mornington Peninsula bred! I know the local area really well and am regularly showing people some of the beautiful hidden places. I have worked in hospitality for most of my life, other than that one time I ran a Harley and Native American Indian shop for 12 years. I have also also played around hosting a guided horseback winery tour for 8 years.

I am a busy person, I love community and my home is never empty. I came to this group to stay in the workforce as I would like to be semi retired yet I am still so inspired to be a part of my community.

Hi there, I'm a 38 year old male living on the Mornington Peninsula who is caring, empathetic and open-minded in nature with a great sense of humour. My working background is in manufacturing, hospitality and retail. I've been a support worker now for two and a half years loving seeing clients learn, grow, and be confident within themselves with some guidance.
I have personal life experience having suffered and worked through mental health issues myself at different stages of my life and have provided support for people with their anxiety and depression, as well as people with ASD (including my two children) and people with Intellectual Disabilities.
I love reading, writing, the beach, passionate about music (keen shower singer), card/board games, animals and video games just to name a few of my interests and would love to share this knowledge with others with similar interests or who are interested in learning and experiencing some of it to further their growth and potential. Gardening is something I'm happy to help with too (I can't say I'm an avid gardener but I do enjoy gardening).
I'm LGBTQI+ friendly, relaxed, positive person who appreciates a good sense of humour and wants to help others bring a bit of a fun atmosphere to life. I look forward to having my life experience help benefit others ✌️
